Join the West Side YMCA as they host the Touch-A-Truck Street Fair and Fundraiser! This is your kiddo’s chance to touch, sit and “pretend drive” all of the huge trucks that can bee seen on a day-to-day basis, such as firetrucks, trolleys, bulldozers and UPS trucks. Round the day out with live entertainment, food, arts & crafts and face-painting. All proceeds of this fantastic event go to support YMCA-based scholarships for families in need and for funding facility improvements.

Celebrate the great outdoors in the prime of Spring at the Spring Kids Fest 2012 at Madison Square Park! Put on your dancing shoes, and check out performances from The Fuzzy Lemons, The Rockdoves and Songs for Seeds. Amazing Max will be on-site to perform his magical feats. Join the pie-throwing contest or partake in storytime yoga with Karma Kids Yoga. It’s the18th year of the Taste of Tribeca Festival & Benefit, and this year is better than ever – so be sure to come hungry! The event, which aims to raise money for the art department of Tribeca’s PS 150 and PS 234, features mouth-watering food from some of Tribeca’s most famed chefs and restaurants. An extensive wine tour and live music will be on-site provided by City Winery. Don’t leave the kids at home – this fest includes its very own Kids Zone! Super Soccer Stars, Exerblast and Modern Martial Arts will all lead demos. Story Pirates and Looney Lenny will perform, along with various arts & crafts, face-painting and balloons. Family Volunteer Day In Central Park

It’s the time of year again when everyone seems to catch the cleaning bug! Bring those helpful hands out to Central Park for Family Volunteer Day, as part of It’s My Park Day. Central Park is New York City’s gem, and we all need to do our part to keep it in tip top shape! Projects will include mulching planting beds, raking, painting and sweeping paths. This isn’t all just work, however. The day will also be filled with painting, nature walks, yoga, arts & crafts and even boating! Children under 18 must attend with a legal guardian, and everyone is required to sign a liability waiver and photography consent form. Families are encouraged to attend – the more, the merrier!
