The terms “Latino” and “Hispanic” are used to describe groups of people who are ethnically, racially, and culturally diverse.

In 500 words or less “How do you identify culturally with the Latino community and what makes you different or unique? What do the terms “Hispanic” and “Latino” mean to you?

• Submit an original essay addressing the essay topic.
• Essays must be written in English, typed and not be longer than 500 words.
• TO ENTER BY MAIL:
  • Entrants must send two copies of the essay and a completed and signed Official Entry Form to Cablevision‘s Power to Learn, 1111 Stewart Ave, Bethpage, NY 11714.
  • A teacher or guidance counselor from the school the entrant attends must complete the verification of authenticity on the Official Entry Form.
  • Entries must be postmarked on or before November 30, 2011.
• TO ENTER VIA E-MAIL:
  • Entrants must email a copy of the essay and a completed and signed Official Entry Form to info@powertolearn.com.
  • The Official Entry Form can also be mailed separately to Cablevision’s Power to Learn, 1111 Stewart Ave, Bethpage, NY 11714.
  • A teacher or guidance counselor from the school the entrant attends must complete the verification of authenticity on the Official Entry Form.
  • Entries must be received and postmarked on or before November 30, 2011.
• TO ENTER ONLINE:
  • Click on Enter Online above.
  • Online entrants complete their Official Entry Form online when they submit their essay.
  • Entries must be received on or before November 30, 2011.
